MacDonald Island Park Redevelopment
MacDonald Island Park fitness centre
Total E&P Canada has contributed $250,000 towards a multiyear project to expand and update MacDonald Island Park, one of Alberta’s premier recreation facilities. This one of a kind complex is a hub of recreational, social and cultural activity for the local community.
It is home to the Fort McMurray Public Library, a day care service, fitness centre, indoor track, aquatic centre, sports and leisure programs, ice facilities, and Miskanaw Golf Club.
The facility will focus on family-friendly and community-oriented programs and activities that will enhance resident’s sense of pride and enrich their quality of life.
