Total E&P Canada: Employee Caring

As part of our values around community engagement, Total E&P Canada supports its employees in volunteering in the community. We are proud of the initiative our employees have taken and compassion they have shown for the people and places that need it most.

Employee Matching Program

Total E&P Canada matches employee donations to registered charitable organizations (up to an annual maximum amount). Any registered charity chosen by an employee is eligible for gift matching.

Day of Caring Program

We provide employees with a half day away from the office so they can donate their time to community organizations. Our first 'Day of Caring' in May 2009 saw more than 60 employees, about 25% of our staff, reach out to the Calgary community.

Supporting the United Way

Over the past four years, Total E&P Canada and our employees have donated close to $200,000 to support the United Way in Calgary. Due to the hard work and dedication of our employees, Total was nominated for the 2007 Spirit of Gold and the 2008 People Power Awards.

Calgary Corporate Challenge

Our employees have been participating in the Calgary Corporate Challengeexternal link: opens in new window since 2008. This inter-company recreational competition allows employees to interact with their colleagues, network with other Calgary companies, and take part in the related Blood Donor Challenge. In 2009 Total’s team was awarded the White Division Spirit Award for the team displaying the best company attitude, spirit and respect for others.

In 2010, Total E&P Canada became an official sponsor of Calgary Corporate Challenge's Health and Safety sites during competition.
